3‑East, LLC was founded in 2015 when Matt Gilbertson, Tim Freese, and Jeff Gilbertson formed a separate corporate entity to oversee and protect ongoing intellectual property development originating from their work with The Gilbertson Group.

The name “3‑East” is a reference to the historic school alma mater, West Chester East Vikings. The company’s logo pays tribute to the Viking sailing ships of yesterday, which incorporated advanced navigation techniques and instrumentation to travel quickly and accurately across great distances.

In 2020, 3‑East relocated to its new corporate headquarters in Parkesburg, Pennsylvania. This state‑of‑the‑art facility includes an environmentally controlled warehouse, a dedicated technology support and production lab, offices, and conference space designed for training along with end‑user presentations.

As of 2022, Matt and Tim assumed full ownership of 3‑East, allowing each to continue their careers supporting a national provider of security integration and cash‑handling services while guiding 3‑East’s strategic direction.

Today, 3‑East partners with select high‑quality national and regional resellers to bring advanced solutions to a broad range of vertical markets. New generations of VeraPass, Smart Depository Stations (SDS), and Vivean are redefining the intelligent key and secure asset management space.
